“Microsoft provides us security and efficiency. Their solutions can also operate together with the open source system, Moodle.” – Ignacio Baigorria, Administrative Coordinator of FEDEV, University of Belgrano
The University of Belgrano is an Argentinian educational institute that offers virtual education programs. In 2010, the institute implemented the Moodle, open source learning management system on premises, to improve the learning experience for their students. However, the system didn’t perform well during peak demand periods. The university migrated from on premises Moodle and Linux servers onto the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, which delivered consistent and reliable performance. Azure is now being used as a platform for expansion into other countries.
